Jamaree Strickland was not on the bench last night. He was not even in the arena last night. That’s because word came down that he is suspended indefinitely. The money quote is from Joe Danneman:

Cronin didn’t offer up more beyond that.
Strickland’s absence last night opened up more minutes for Jermaine Sanders, who played a lot of the 4 spot, and some for Coreontae DeBerry. Strickland is a redshirt freshman. He had NCAA clearinghouse problems a year ago, which kept him away from the team. Now he has done something that is not the best move and is paying the price.
Hopefully for Strickland’s case, he is able to get this resolved and come back to the team and contribute. Also, yes, that is the only picture I have of Strickland. He has a lot of time to snorkel now.
