While the UFC’s ratings for The Ultimate Fighter: Live continue to plummet (a series-low 821,000 viewers last week), there is better news for Strikeforce and Bellator. First off, last weekend’s Bellator 69 event posted the best rating for Bellator’s Season Six thus far – 209,000 viewers. This is a significant bump up from the 158,000 viewers Season Six has averaged thus far. To put that into perspective, that is more viewers than the previous two episodes of UFC on Fuel TV (UFC on Fuel TV 2 got 197,000 viewers; UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs Poirier only got 173,000 viewers).
Meanwhile, Strikeforce’s Grand Prix Final (Strikeforce: Barnett vs Cormier) got a season-best 463,000 viewers on Showtime on Saturday. It is the highest-rated Strikeforce event since last July’s Strikeforce: Fedor vs Henderson.
