Subway Domer Update 1.0/2011

Tim-Thomas-Rises

If you have been reading Subway Domer over the past 5 years, you should know that I welcome changes to the site, and I will add and delete features at the drop of a hat. With that spirit in mind, I am going to be making some major changes to the site in 2011. These changes won’t all be very noticeable at first, and some of them will be more for my ease of use, rather than a feature for the users.

After my first child was born 2 years ago, I wondered if I would be able to maintain the site and continue to grow. I think I have done a decent job in accomplishing those goals with the additions of 2 writers (KGG & The Brawling Hibernian), finally finding a Graphic Designer (PhillyKelly), a bigger Twitter presence, and of course the move to Bloguin.

Now, my second child is scheduled to make his/her commitment to my family in June, and here I am wondering how the site will continue. I am making every effort to ensure that the site will be viable for years to come, and changes are started to be made for that effort. As the next few months go by, i will roll out these features and provide an update post after said update has been, well… updated.

Here is the first one for 2011…

A brand new commenting system! This is something that is being rolled out across the entire Bloguin network, and it will be a bit of a work in progress over the next few weeks.

It’s a pretty nice format, and it is completely integratable with Facebook and Twitter. You can register to comment using either social network or you can just register via Livefyre.

I’ll quit gabbing like a little girl here, and leave it to you to start testing this thing out. Let me know what you like, dislike, want changed, etc. and I will try to adjust accordingly. These new comment system should help cultivate a better conversation between the Subway Domer Staff and you, our beloved readers.

Peace!
