Sunday Programming Notes

I’ll give you two press releases promoting programming on Sunday. The first is from NBA TV featuring an interview with basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. Former Georgetown coach and TNT analyst John Thompson conducts the question-and-answer session with Jordan who recently named as the new owner of the Charlotte Bobcats.

John Thompson Conducts One of Jordan’s First Interviews Since Being Named Charlotte Bobcats Owner
Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan will sit down with NBA TV’s John Thompson in one of his first interviews since being named owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. The exclusive interview will air on Sunday, April 18 at Noon (ET) on NBA TV.  
TNT will air the first three games of the Charlotte Bobcats/Orlando Magic series, with Game #1 on Sunday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. (ET) and Game #2 on Wednesday, April 21 at 7 p.m. (ET). TNT will feature Game #3 on Saturday, April 24 at 2 p.m. (ET) in the Bobcats’ first NBA Playoff home game since the franchise returned to Charlotte.
NBA TV tips off more than 305 hours of original NBA Playoffs programming this Saturday, April 17, airing live postgame studio shows following every game, including live postgame press conferences, player interviews and updates from TNT reporters. In addition, every game will re-air in a 60-minute “Playoff Playback” version on the network.
The network will also air live games including a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 20 with the Milwaukee Bucks @ Atlanta Hawks 7 p.m. (ET) followed by the Portland Trail Blazers @ Phoenix Suns at 10 p.m. (ET) and the Phoenix Suns @ Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, April 22 at 10 p.m. (ET).

CBS airs motorcross for the CBS Sports Spectacular, also on Sunday.

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR MEETS AMA SUPERCROSS IN ST. LOUIS
CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR presents AMA SUPERCROSS on Sunday, April 18 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; taped 4/17), from the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo.  Rookie Ryan Dungey sits atop the Supercross point standings and looks to extend his lead as the series rolls into St. Louis. Challenging him is Ryan Villopoto, who after a win in Houston last week trails by only 12 points. Both will join a field of talented riders including Josh Hill and Kevin Windham racing for a victory. Ralph Sheheen, Jeff Emig and Erin Bates call the action for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ John Paquet serves as coordinating producer.
