I’m on the move this weekend (the youngest Lackey brother is running the Boston Marathon on Monday and so I’m actually sitting in Logan right now, enjoying their free WiFi and watching Archer on Netflix whie waiting for the rest of the clan to arrive) but that doesn’t keep the Pirates from playing weirdly timed afternoon games. They look to run their record back to .500 at GABP this afternoon against Mike Leake and the Reds at 1:10. Weirdly, it looks like the game isn’t blacked out for MLB.tv users, either (usually all Saturday games are because of the FOX national broadcast), which is nice.
James McDonald goes for the Bucs. It’d be nice to see him build on the strong finish to his second start. After his disaster four-run first against the Rockies last Sunday, he turned in a strong start before the bullpen blew his lead. Like Morton, it’d be great to see him make some progress in these early-season starts.
