Lovie Smith isn’t giving answers now. He is asked questions by the media, he does not answer, or does answer, cryptically. The offensive line practiced in a parking lot behind a covered obscured view. No one even knows who is calling the plays, as only a handful of coaches know this offense.

So will the Bucs come out like the Eagles last year and shock Carolina? Will we see a halftime 21-3 Bucs lead? If so, it was all worth it.

Truth is, if the Bucs are tied 7-7 or down and lose 14-13, there will be some serious criticism of why things were so hushed up including the Offensive Coordinator’s health. There is such a thing as not giving your opponent an advantage, but there is also common knowledge, whatever that is going into week 1.

Then again, when you consider how much ex Coach Greg Schiano tried to hush up things at One Buc going into the Jets game, only to watch the team Implode besides Josh Freeman’s leadership on the field. You have to figure if the team even all shows up to breakfast on time they’re light years ahead of the contest!

Still, what a difference it would be, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, an offensive Juggernaut! No one expected it from the 1999 Rams, we sure didn’t know when the O line was allowing every Saint a free ride back to Brad Johnson, that the line would block Michael Pittman to one of the top ten best first half rushing performances in SuperBowl history!

It’s not like the Bucs have far to improve; lets be honest, this is a franchise that is not doing so well of late.  Kids have gone through the entire school system waiting this year for the Bucs to win their first playoff game; its been 11 years. There has only been one winning season in the last five, a 10-6 season that missed the wild card on a tiebreaker given to the eventual Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers. Three of those Five season, the Bucs could win no more than 4 games.

There is nowhere to go but up, and that Bucs fans, is no secret at all.
