The Red Sox scored a run in the top of the ninth on a sac fly from Pedroia but they ended up losing in the bottom of the eleventh to the Orioles in the third game of the series. John Lackey had a solid start going seven innings while giving up two runs on seven hits. Oki gave up a walk-off single to Nick Markakis to give Samuel his first win as skipper of the O’s. V-Mart had a two run homer in the game but the rest of the Red Sox offense was pretty flat.
