The Brewers beat the Nationals 7-1 on Monday to complete a four game sweep over the lowly Nats. Dave Bush improved to 7-9 on the season with the win. Bush pitched 6 1/3 innings and struck out six. He gave up a lone run on five hits. Brian Shouse, David Riske and Seth McClung finished out the game for the Crew.
Rickie Weeks struck early with a lead-off home run in the first. The long ball was Weeks’ 10th on the season and his first at Miller Park this season. Corey Hart hit a two-run shot in the fourth which turned out to be the game winner. Corey and Prince Fielder each had two hits on the day.
For those keeping score at home, the Brewers have won six straight games since their dugout fight last week in Cincinnati. The Brewers now travel to the left coast for a six game trip. The first three will take place in San Diego, followed by a three-game weekend series against ManRam and the Dodgers.
