According to a report from the St. Louis Blues, T.J. Oshie is healthy and should be in the lineup for the first game of the playoffs. The team’s official site states that Oshie could play in the team’s final regular season game against the Chicago Blackhawks, but the team has elected to play it safe and hold him out until the playoffs.

Ken Hitchcock said that he doesn’t want to take any risks by using Oshie in a regular season game when they’ve already locked up a playoff spot.

Oshie last played back on March 28th against the Los Angeles Kings. Since then, Oshie has missed time with an injured ankle that eventually required surgery to correct a stress fracture.

Obviously, a healthy Oshie is a major asset for the playoffs. The team’s offense has been improving over the last few games, but they certainly could benefit from Oshie’s vision and play-making ability when there’s more on the line.

Oshie has seven goals and 13 assists in 30 regular season games.
