T.J. Oshie is arguably the most popular skater on the Blues. In fact, he’s one of the most popular athletes in St. Louis as well. It turns out that Oshie’s popularity isn’t constricted to just St. Louis. As seen in a report from Best Tickets (compiled by On the Forecheck), Oshie is third on the list of most-Googled players in the NHL.
It’s safe to say Oshie’s performance in the Olympics played an enormous role in his ranking. It’s safe to imagine the searches were along the lines of, “Who is this Oshie guy?”
As for the Blues as a team, the club ranked fourth in terms of average number of player searches per month. Approximately there were 209,600 searches for Blues players each month, trailing just Pittsburgh, Chicago and Boston.
