After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players… and maybe coach's… performance. If we like what we see, we're buyin'. If we don't, we're sellin'. Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game
The Big 4: Instead of ticking them off one by one, I'm gonna lump them all in. KG was a team high +15 in his 28 minutes of play. Add 23 points on 14 shots plus 8 boards and you've got a hell of a game. Truth was typically awesome. His amazing shooting season continues with 7-10 fg, 3-5 3pt, and 5-6 FT. You'd think the stat geeks would be creaming over his performance this season. Rajon Rondo only scored 4 points but 14 assists shows you the offense was moving. And Ray only got 6 shots but he made 5 of them. Quality performances by the team leaders.
Delonte West: Mr. Do-It-All chipped in nicely in 29 minutes of play hitting 4 of his 5 shots while adding 5 assists. Last night was a classic example of Delonte's ability to fill in for both Ray and Rondo effectively.
Glen Daivs: He wasn't taking every jumper that was available. He actually passed a few up and ran the offense. That alone is worth the buy. That's a smart player playing team ball.
Anyone on the court in the last 5 minutes: Sloppy sloppy sloppy. Yes, I do realize that means I'm buying and selling some of the same people. I'm just saying the turnovers piled up in the last few minutes keeping the score closer than it should have been.
Jermaine O'Neal: I'm just about ready to buy him. And the hold has nothing to do with how he's playing (thought 3 turnovers is a lot in 18 minutes). It's more to do with his health. I want to hear him say he feels good after practice today. Yes, I'm still gun shy.
Shaq: I'm not selling him yet. I was going to until I heard how "very minor" the injury was. I know that in Shaq terms that might mean he's out another month… but I'm holding out hope he'll be back.
