TAM 6, BOS 2: Slugged

If Evan Longoria could play a full season against Boston’s pitching staff who knows what his season totals would be.
Longoria went 1-for-3 last night with a grand slam giving him four homers (seven total) and 13 RBI’s (28 total) against the Red Sox this season.
Carlos Pena added insult to injury hitting a home run in the next at-bat, his 10th of the season, to give the Rays a 6-2 lead.
Andy Sonnanstine went 5 2/3 innings yielding eight hits, two runs (both earned), four walks and struck out one batter for his second win of the season.
Goat of the Game – Offense
16 men left on base is just inexcusable.
Next Game – Sat. 5/02 vs. Tampa Bay Rays – Tim Wakefield/Jeff Niemann
Wakefield is 19-5 in his career against Tampa Bay. He is 9-3 at the Trop with a 2.86 ERA. This sounds like a recipe for a win, but the Boston offense has to score some runs too.
