The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released their 2010 NFL Schedule. ANALYSIS- Contrast of Openers- In 2010, the Bucs will NOT be opening up vs Americas Team, and face the entire NFC East in the first 5 weeks! Instead they will open at home vs a Browns team that will have a lot of turmoil despite a strong finish to the end of 2009. New Coach, New QB, New everything…the Bucs could come out with an opening day win. Then they play the Panthers in Carolina of whom the Bucs have played inconsistent of late. Josh Freeman will get an early shot to redeem his 5 pick day last year. What Steeler team will show up in Tampa in week three? Probably one without Big Ben? Wearing those Black uniforms on Sept.26th? My prediction of the Bucs coming out of the gate with a surprising record looks good. Some trends:

  • The Bucs have their division games all spread out: Week 2 to week 17, they never play more than 3 division games in any 5 game span. Three times the Bucs go 2 games in a row before a division game, and near the end they play three straight before finishing against the Saints, in a week 17 in the NFL where each NFL team will have a divisional opponent.
  • No Cold Weather Games to worry about! November 28th at Baltimore,Maryland is the only concern, and that is not too bad. Dec. 12th at Washington could be a concern, but its not Chicago or New York, thats for sure.
  • 3 of first 5 games are at home.
  • 3 of last 5 games are at home, including two of the last 3.
  • Bucs Open at Home for the second straight year.
  • The Bucs have 2 Back to Back Away games, and 2 Back to Back Home games. No 3 straight away games this year.
  • All games are 1PM Start except Week 8 4:15 game at Arizona Cardinals and three weeks later a 4:05 game at San Francisco.
  • Prime Time? NADA.

GO BUCS! I think now that we have seen the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2010 Schedule, we can get excited about the upcoming season.
