Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, Still Crying over loss of Antonio Bryant? Don’t; Freeman shouldn’t either!

Further review of video footage shows that 1/3 of Josh Freeman’s interceptions in 2009 were passes thrown to former Bucs receiver Antonio Bryant; and most of those were throws that could have been changed by a better attempt at Bryant to either Catch, or run the correct route. The Bucs had said earlier in the year that Bryant did not run proper routes all the time, or changed them. Clearly, the Bucs wanted to surround their franchise QB with young, talented receivers so they could all develop together at the same pace. With the taking of Benn and Williams, it would seem the Bucs have at least made the attempt to do so. In assembling video footage of Josh Freeman’s 2009 interceptions for one of Tampa Bays local media reporters, a pattern or two became apparent in looking at the picks. Keep your chins up Bucs fans, this Freeman character is going to be a good one. His problems are SOOO fixable there is little to worry about as far as him becoming an elite QB. His interceptions were high throws, usually at the end or beginning of a half. The rest were underneath stuff, all of which is very fixable with the help of good tutelage. Keep in mind, last year, Josh Freeman got ZERO reps in training camp because of the contest between Luke McCown and Byron Leftwich; neither of which became the starting QB. This season, Freeman is getting first class reps during all the OTAs and going into camp. Expect some brilliance from no.5 this year, with an occasional relapse of human nature.
