The NHL released the full 2016-17 season schedule today. Tampa Bay will start the season at Amalie Arena on October 13th as they host the division rival Detroit Red Wings. The Bolts will open with a four-game home stand before going on the road for six games.
They will play their Atlantic Division opponents four times, twice at home and twice on the road, except for the Boston Bruins (two home, three away) and the Red Wings (three home, two away). The Pittsburgh Penguins will come to Tampa for an Eastern Conference Final rematch on December 10th. The Lightning will meet them at the CONSOL Energy Center twice in early 2017.
