The Buckeyes couldn’t get out of there own way Thursday night as cold shooting woes plagued them in the second quarter on 2 of 12 shots and only 1 of 13 from three. Kelsey Mitchell once again led all scorers with 29 on 5 of 13 from beyond the arc. Shayla Cooper added 17 points to go with 11 rebounds, Kiara Lewis and Alexa Hart both finished with 11 points a piece as the rest of the Buckeyes struggled to score when needed. A three at the Buzzer by Sierra Calhoun(8 points, 3 rebounds) was the highlight of the night.
Miami
The Hurricanes were led by Keyona Hayes with 23 points and was joined by Jessica Thomas(16)Laura Cornelius(11) and Erykah Davenport(10 points and 10 rebounds) in double figures. As a team they didn’t shoot better than the Buckeyes but did much better on their opportunities from beyond the arc 7 for15 46.7% compared to 8/28 28.6% for the Buckeyes. They also doubled the Buckeyes up in assists 18 to 9.

The Buckeyes return to action on Sunday hosting Cincinnati at 2:00PM. They have ended their run against ranked teams 1 win #11 Syracuse versus 3 losses now against #18 Miami, #5 Baylor, and #4 South Carolina.
