Tonight the San Antonio Spurs will host the Los Angeles Clippers as San Antonio looks to ground “Lob City.”
However, once the ball is tipped, another story line is Tim Duncan catching former NBA player Clyde Drexler for 25th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Currently, TD is ranked 26th among the NBA’s all-time scorers at 22,176. Drexler logged 22,195 points during his NBA career. With 20 points tonight, Duncan could pass Drexler. This season, Duncan is averaging 14.3 points per game, so it is not out of the realm of possibility for him to pass Clyde tonight.
However, TD will have to double is offensive output against the Clippers. This season he is averaging 10.5 points against “Lob City.”
Once Duncan moves into 25th place, sitting at 24th place is Boston Celtics’ Ray Allen with 22,765 points and counting.
