The Temple Owls ended this past season in the NIT semifinals after not being selected as one of the last four teams in the NCAA Tournament. Temple had a great bounce back year as they finished 26-11 and 13-5 in the American Athletic Conference.
They were led by senior guard Will Cummings, who averaged 14.8 points, 4.2 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. This upcoming season, they will be looking for junior guard Quenton DeCosey to help lead them to the NCAA Tournament.
But before they can get to the tournament, they will compete in the 2015 Puerto Rico Tip-Off. The other teams that will compete in the tip-off are Butler, Utah, Miami, Minnesota, Texas Tech, Mississippi State, and Missouri State. It would be pretty interesting if the Owls got a chance to play the Hurricanes in the tip-off as they lost to them in the NIT semifinals 60-57.
This is a very solid field that if the Owls can get a few wins it will help them when it comes to the NCAA Tournament selection committee.
