News, notes, and assorted observations:

1.  67 snaps on offense pushes the Titans’ average snaps per game just over 60. Week 1’s win against Kansas City (79 snaps) remains the only game where the offense has had 70 or more snaps, though. The defense, on the other hand, is averaging facing 72 snaps per game, and has played more than 80 snaps four times. ICYMI, the Titans have a non-sustaining offense and a not very good defense.

2. I speculated in the recap last night Leon Washington got a lot of the snaps that would otherwise have gone to Dexter McCluster. Really, though, his playing time wasn’t too far out of line from what it had been the past two games and was actually less than the 32 of 58 snaps he played against the Jets.

3. The Titans were serious enough about keeping Antonio Andrews around to add him to the active roster even though they already had five backs on the roster, but they’re not serious enough about him to actually give him the ball (0 snaps for the second consecutive game he’s been up). I guess their liking him was based on some hypothetical future state of affairs I have not yet divined.

4. This was the first game since Week 3 in Cincinnati where Kendall Wright was active but placed third instead of first or second among Titans receivers in snaps.

5. Jamon Meredith at left tackle over Will Svitek, was it a noticeable improvement or did it just give us someone else’s troubles to point out? I probably don’t care enough to really find out the answer for myself.

6. Mike Martin sitting while healthy for the second game in a row kind of answers the “Is Ropati Pitoitua falling out of favor?” question, especially considering my thought would have been Al Woods was the most natural player to sit when the Titans wanted to give DaQuan Jones a bigger role.

7. Does Dontay Moch sitting while healthy indicate their experiment with him is over after three games on the active roster, or were they playing Kamerion Wimbley because they needed to show he was healthy before they almost inevitably cut him in the offseason?

8. Zaviar Gooden, also a healthy inactive, as the Titans kept only three inside linebackers up for only the second time this season (other time Week 2 against Dallas, and that game they kept five outside linebackers up instead of the standard four).

9. Opposing WR3 Allen Hurns 36 snaps, Titans nickel CB Marqueston Huff 32 snaps. Close enough for me, given the Jaguars didn’t trot out Marqise Lee and Cecil Shorts for absolutely every snap.
