The Tennessee Titans (6-9) will cap off their disappointing 2010 campaign in tomorrow’s season-finale against the Indianapolis Colts (9-6).
With losses in seven of their last eight games, the Titans have nothing to play for besides pride and perhaps Head Coach Jeff Fisher’s job status in 2011. Meanwhile, the Colts will be in search of yet another AFC South Division crown with either a win tomorrow or a Jaguar defeat to the Texans.

Will the Titans come to play, or are the U-Hauls already packed?
One of the main things I’ll be keeping my eyes on tomorrow will be the Titans’ effort/energy level.
With a losing season unfortunately signed, sealed and delivered and as I suggested earlier, the once far-fetched but now seemingly realistic possibility of Jeff Fisher getting his walking papers, it’s going to be interesting if see if the Titans mail it in, or bring the intensity needed to defeat a team that actually has something (division title/playoff spot) to play for in the season-ender.
Let’s see the young guys
For all intent and purposes, the Titans’ 2010 season was over a few weeks ago due to their lengthy losing streak. Since they’ve stared at that reality in the mirror, we’ve witnessed young guys such as Jared Cook getting the chance to earn some playing time and produce when given the opportunity.
On Sunday, I want to see a continuation of younger players such as Cook, Damian Williams, Javon Ringer, etc. getting their shots at making some plays against the Colts. Regardless of who’s the coach in 2011, we need to see what these guys are capable of bringing to the table moving forward.
Players to watch
Tennessee: TE Jared Cook- After riding the pine for the majority of 2010, he’s caught at least three passes in each of his last four games, including his first career touchdown during last week’s 5 catch, 96-yard effort against the Chiefs.
Indianapolis: RB Dominic Rhodes- In his third stint with the franchise, Rhodes stepped up with 17-carry, 98-yard performance in last week’s win against Oakland.
Prediction Time!
With the exception of the win over the Texans, the Titans have shown little over the last few weeks to provide me with any level of confidence of them doing the seemingly unthinkable and defeating the Colts tomorrow.
Unfortunately, my crystal ball is pointing in the direction of a Colts victory without them breaking too much of a sweat, which should make next week an interesting one as the future of Jeff Fisher coaching in the city of Nashville is determined.
