The Tennessee Titans (5-6) will look to put a halt to their four-game losing skid tomorrow as they play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars (6-5) in a pivotal AFC South matchup.
Despite losing four in a row, thanks to a mediocre division, the Titans are still in the hunt for AFC South supremacy as they prepare to face the Jags in the first of three consecutive home meetings with their fellow divisional foes.

Can the Titans finally exploit a poor opposing pass defense?
Sunday’s matchup with the Jaguars will mark the the third consecutive week that the Titans have had the opportunity to face one of the league’s bottom-dwellers when it comes to defending the pass.
The Redskins (29th) and the Texans (31st), were able to overcome their deficiencies defending the pass at least for one week, thanks to the combination of injuries and inconsistency faced by the Titans at the quarterback position as of late.
Like the two teams before them, the Jaguars (28th) are also horrible against the pass. For the season, opposing signal-callers have accumulated a combined 104.9 passing rating against Jacksonville.
With veteran quarterback Kerry Collins expected to return to the starting lineup, the Titans can only hope that “The Game Manager” can bring some experience and production to the table as they attempt once again to take advantage of one of the NFL’s most generous pass defenses.
The return of the opportunistic Titans’ defense?
As I mentioned in a recent article, one of the reasons behind the Titans’ four-game slide has been the decreased rate of turnovers and sacks generated by the Titan defense.
During their first meeting, the Titans were able to blowout the Jaguars at home as they forced four turnovers and two QB takedowns.
A similar performance by Chuck Cecil’s troops tomorrow will go a long way towards ending Tennessee’s losing streak.
Players to watch
Jacksonville: RB Rashad Jennings– has the potential to serve as the thunder to Maurice Jones-Drew’s lightning in the Jacksonville rushing attack. Gutted the Giants for 7 carries, 53 yards and a score last week.
Tennessee: WR Randy Moss– it’s only a matter of time before he makes a big play or in a Titans’ uniform. Here’s to hoping we’ll see one or two of those this weekend.
Prediction Time!
I’m not expecting him to be a savior, but veteran Kerry Collins should bring some stability to the Titans offense tomorrow. I’m also expecting Chris Johnson to bounce back from last week’s 7-carry, 5-yard debacle and step up in the form of surpassing the century mark against the Jaguars.
Call me crazy, but I think the Titans’ losing-streak comes to and end tomorrow.
