The NFL this year has begun keeping track of player participation data on a weekly basis and releasing it to the media. Here's how they have the Titans lining up in Week 13's home loss to the Texans.

Xavier Adibi, Patrick Bailey, Beau Brinkley, Tommie Campbell, Collin Mooney, and Tracy Wilson each appeared only on special teams. Matt Hasselbeck was active but did not appear in the game.
Analysis:
1. The "limiting Chris Johnson to about 50 snaps" thing? Completely out the window. Then again, when you only run the ball 3 times in the second half, resting your back isn't as big a deal.
2. Lots of things were screwed up by injuries. That probably meant more snaps for Kendall Wright especially after Damian Williams went down, more snaps for the other defensive ends after Kam Wimbley went down, and of course the offensive line was all screwed up.
3. Hello, Jared Cook. The game in Miami where you played fewer snaps than Taylor Thompson seems like it was a long time ago. On those 64 snaps, which include plays negated by penalty, he was thrown the ball 15 times. The Titans threw a lot of passes, so he didn't hit the Randy Ratio, but that's an awful lot of attention. Also, apparently the Titans didn't really use that many 2-TE packages, given Craig Stevens' snap total.
4. Even with Kam Wimbley's injury, the Titans gave their backup defensive ends more work than they're used to seeing.
5. Tim Shaw's snaps + Will Witherspoon's snaps = 100% playing time. They might have been on the field at the same time. They probably were. But the Titans did something pretty close to what they said they'd do, playing Shaw in base and Spoon in nickel.
6. The safety rotation? Yeah, it ended up not being that much of a rotation. All of them played in the first two series, but Babineaux was basically your starter. From what I saw of Johnson, I think when he was on the field it was normally (often? sometimes?) a three-safety package.
