Patrick Bailey, Beau Brinkley, Colin McCarthy, Mike Otto, Chris Spencer, Daimion Stafford, and Leon Washington each only appeared on special teams. Rusty Smith was active but did not appear in the game.
After the jump, the usual collection of notes and observations.
1. The 86 snaps (83 in regulation) were the most the Titans played in a single game on offense this season, exceeding the previous high of 79 against the Raiders. They are now averaging 66.7 snaps per game on offense.
2. Jackie Battle had not appeared on offense in any of the six previous games, and 14 snaps is a season-high for him in any game for which Shonn Greene was healthy.
3. Beginning with the Week 11 home contest against Indianapolis, Delanie Walker has played in 91% of the snaps for which he has been available after playing less than 80% of the time the first 10 weeks.
4. Michael Preston had 26 offensive snaps in the previous five games he had been active, so his 27 snaps against the Cardinals more than doubled his season total. His previous career high in snaps in a game was 19, against the Packers late last season.
5. Kenny Britt's 62 snaps were also a season high, narrowly eclipsing the 60 he played against the Texans. Since that game only had 70 snaps, Sunday ranks second in terms of percentage of plays.
6. I wondered if this might be a Kamerion Wimbley game given Bradley Sowell's presence at left tackle, and his 34 snaps was indeed the most he'd played this season.
7. I'm not sure it really was quite that neat, but the numbers make it seem so at defensive end-at one spot, Derrick Morgan backed up by Lavar Edwards (64+4=68), with Wimbley and Ropati Pitoitua at the other spot (34+34=68).
8. Zach Brown, benched after a big Andre Ellington completion early in the game, matched his career low, set against the Lions in Week 3 last year, with only 6 snaps. Zaviar Gooden set a new career record with 43 snaps, exceeding the 31 he played last week against the Broncos.
9. Arizona WR3 Andre Roberts, 41 snaps. Coty Sensabaugh 43 snaps. Close enough.
10. Blidi Wreh-Wilson was also on the list of players who set season highs in playing time. In fact, he'd only played 6 snaps on defense in the 11 games for which he had been active.
11. It says something that this late in the season, so many players are setting season-highs and -lows in number of snaps played, and it's not injury-related. The word that keeps popping into my head is "spitballing," though that may be a bit unkind to a coaching staff that is doing the same thing many fans are, looking for answers as to why they weren't better like they thought they'd be.
