The home for former Raiders that goes by the name of the New England Patriots brought yet another former Raider on board by signing defensive tackle Terdell Sands. Sands joins his former defensive line-mate Derrick Burgess in Bill Belichick’s defense.
Sands was cut by the Raiders at the end of training camp to keep rookie undrafted free agent Desmond Bryant in Silver and Black. The writing had been on the wall for Sands as he had not lived up to his expectations after he received a lucritive contract extension following the 2006 season. He frequently would disappear in games and play much smaller than his ample size
