Per the Columbus Dispatch:
Nine games into his junior season, Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor said yesterday he has no plans to forego his senior season and head for the NFL.
“It would be hard being away from a lot of the guys I’ve been around, and I want to get my degree as well, so I could finish that up,” Pryor said. “I want to have a legacy here, you know? Maybe someday get my jersey hung up. That’s one of my goals as well here.”
Players tend to change their mind about going pro once they see their draft projections, but given Pryor’s self acknowledged need to continue developing, I doubt that he will be projected high enough to change his mind on this one.
I have assumed for a long time that Pryor would return, but it’s nice to hear that he is thinking along the same lines. You can never be absolutely sure on these things, but all signs point to Terrelle Pryor returning for his fourth year, and that, obviously, is a good thing for the Buckeyes.
