That was football heaven.

I have absolutely no clue where to go on this post. I could spend an hour on what went right and what needs to get better. Lets just say the obvious, that was one hell of a football game. A lot of people brought up the comeback game from 1993. I honestly kept thinking of the 2002 game against Minnesota. That was a back and forth affair where both defenses couldn’t stop the opposing offenses. This game is what makes the NFL the premiere sport in the country. It’s is drama at its fullest. Storylines galore. That’s what makes it great.

To the actual game..

Not sound too much like Jimmy V., but the team didn’t quit and they didn’t give up. They could have easily packed it in. But you know what? There is a lot of character in that locker room. A lot of guys who have been through so many battles, not just on any given Sunday, but just making the NFL. A constant “what if?” scenario with this team.

What if Tim Tebow fell to the 2nd round?

What if James Hardy actually knew how to play?

What if Lee Evans never got traded?

What if Marshawn Lynch wasn’t a knucklehead?

This team was built by sure luck at times. These guys were suppose to be nothing more than transition guys, not guys you were going to build your franchise around. The bridge-gap to the next guy. Well, that bridge is leading to some entertaining football. These are a bunch of dudes who are typical Buffalo. Yeah, tell them and the city we are in transition.

I’ve gone over how we have a bunch of guys on this team that have come from obscurity when it comes to their background. No former high round draft picks. No hype…and without it, came lower expectations.

This was a locker room that was filled with players that were picked on for being bad last year. Picked on for not playing well in the preseason. Picked on because they aren’t high-priced guys. Picked on because they were wearing the uniforms of a team that didn’t make the playoffs in 11 years.

They took all that negativity and channeled it onto the football field. Sure, there are still issues and I’m sure I will get to it in a day or two, but for today, I don’t care about measuring sticks, I don’t care about the Pats and I don’t care about the defense.

For today, I’m so happy to be a Bills fan.
