The return of Wisniewski proved to be fairly uneventful for the player itself but proved to be an exciting, back and forth affair otherwise. Scott Hartnell had a hat trick which helped the team win 5-3 in regulation against the Anaheim Ducks.
Highlights:
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
The Good: Scott Hartnell
A hat trick made for one heck of a cherry on top of a game that had the Blue Jackets were trailing going into the first intermission. While the start wasn’t promising the Jackets showed resolve and were able to make it back into the game with help from number 43. With his sixth multi goal game of the season he tied his career record that he set back in 2012. While the team overall didn’t do particularly well in the possession department the Jackets were nonetheless able to take advantage of the opportunities given to them and win the game.
The Bad: Shot Supression
The Blue Jackets saving grace this evening was truly the poor play of John Gibson, who came out looking jet lagged and unready for the game against the Jackets. While Gibson couldn’t stop anything, Bob on the other hand was able to keep them in the game. With 37 saves on the evening it was another game in which the Jackets allowed more shots than their opponent. It’ll need to be addressed next year but for now they need to thank their lucky stars Bob came to play.
The Ugly: ENJOY THE WIN PEOPLE
