Ok so you are making great progress toward your fitness goals and really want to take things up a notch, but don’t know how? It has been estimated that 80% of the results you get on a successful fitness program come from diet and 20% from training. Logically, it not only makes sense to eat a clean, plant based, whole foods diet full of dark, leafy greens, gluten free seed grains like amaranth and quinoa (both of which are a great source of protein), cage free or free range organic eggs and wild caught fish, fresh and preferably organic vegetables like asparagus, broccoli, brussell sprouts, sunchokes, beets, zucchini, and whatever else you like (sweet potatoes, green apples, berries, sea veggies like dulce and nori, and if your budget allows superfoods like chlorella, spirulina, flax, and chia).
If you really are committed to getting to the top of your game, I suggest you also use enzymes. There are several different brands to choose from. As a sponsored athlete / ambassador I am fortunate enough to have the leading enzyme company behind me in Enzymedica. Take your time and do your homework to see which brand best suits you. Regardless of which brand you choose, here are a few things to know:
There are actually three types of enzymes: metabolic, digestive, and food enzymes. To learn more about them, I urge you to take a little time and do some research on how enzymes are produced and utilized by the body and which supplemental enzymes might best suit your needs. Simply put, they are biologically active proteins. They catalyze and regulate biochemical reactions in the body. They help to maximize the absorption of vital nutrients and turn food into fuel which is an integral conversion for a successful exercise program. The benefits of using them are readily apparent and may include increased energy levels, better regularity, and decreased workload of digestion. The effects they have on the metabolic process are so worth the expense of buying them and they are quite reasonably priced. They are taken with or before meals and are easily stored in what look like ordinary pill containers.
The proper use of enzymes in conjunction with a clean, plant based diet that is devoid of processed foods is a formula that, I believe, is guaranteed to fuel your training and give you a real edge when it comes to accomplishing your fitness goals.
So …
Digest THIS!!! Get your enzymes onboard and watch what happens!
