Tomorrow night at 8pm, Cavalier fans get the game they have been waiting 8 months for. The Boston Celtics come to town, and Cleveland gets a shot at taking full throttle of first place in the NBA Eastern Conference.
The Celtics were responsible for ousting the Cavs in 7 games last year during the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and LeBron James has been anticipating this game.
But the Celtics come into The Q Friday night somewhat wounded. After starting the season with a blistering 27-2 record, Boston has now dropped 6 of their last 8 games and are holding the 2nd seed in the East. Boston insists they are not in a slump (at least Rajon Rondo, the point guard who only hits 65% from the free throw line, does). But denial is a powerful tool and the Celtics are indeed slumping.
The Celts woes include losses to Golden State (10-27), New York (13-20), and Charlotte (13-23). Last night, Boston also lost at home, but to a much more respectable Houston squad (22-15). And yet, Boston still seems to think they are rulers of the free world. Wintess Paul Pierce’s attitude last night after Ron Artest fouled out late in the game;
Now ask yourself this….when RON ARTEST isn’t the biggest douchebag in the picture, exactly how bad are you?
Now would be an excellent time to shove the Celtics faces in the dirt one more time. Their swagger is increasing as the losses are, and they need that slap in the face called reality.
LeBron James needs to deliver, and considering the 18-0 record the Cavaliers have at home, I think the time is right.
Tipoff is at 8pm. Be there.
