The Blackhawks are the new masters

For so long, the Detroit Red Wings were the team to be reckoned with for any foe from the Central Time Zone. The Red Wings had the upper hand against the Blues, the Stars, the Wild (or even the North Stars) and especially, the Chicago Blackhawks. If you didn’t know, the tide has turned of late, and the Blackhawks are pretty good. How far have the fortunes of these two teams turned? Tonight, the Blackhawks defeated the Red Wings, giving them a season sweep of the Red Wings. Sure, they don’t play as often, but it’s no small feat.

SCOREBOARD (Friday)
New York Rangers 3, Washington 2 – I think Washington vs New York is the game at the center of every action movie, right? Was Steven Seagal there?

Columbus 6, Edmonton 3 – Because of the bylaws of the NHL, these two teams have to play!

Dallas 4, New Jersey 2 – New Jersey continues to flow on towards irrelevance. Bye!
