So we are down to the last week and the math is pretty simple: The Brewers need to finish 7-0 and hope the Cubs finish up 3-3 just to force a one game playoff at Wrigley next week.
The Crew took the first step tonight with a 13-5 over the Cardinals. Dave Bush picked up his 12th win of the year while Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun homered….again. It was the 48th for Prince and the 33rd for Braun.
The top four hitters for the Brewers were on fire tonight. Rickie Weeks, JJ Hardy, Braun, and Fielder each had multiple hits and scored multiple times.
The team now sits 3 games behind the Cubs with 6 to play. Not impossible, but damn near so. Jeff Suppan takes the mound for the Crew tomorrow while all of Milwaukee will do some scoreboard watching.
