The Briefing for 10/24

As usual, the war of having to work 60 hours a week at my job has kicked my ass in trying to update Buffalowins.com, but don’t threat or applaud because you may think I’m dead, because I’m only mostly…dead. Anyways, lets break it off, brief style.

-So let me get this straight, both the Sabres and Bills are going to make it past Halloween without winning a home game on the season? That is totally pathetic-

-In case you were wondering, the last time the Bills won at home was the season finale against the Colts, which wouldn’t have happend if the Colts played their starters. You would then have to go back to Thanksgiving Weekend when the Bills beat the Dolphins at home. As for the Sabres, go back to game five of the Boston vs Buffalo series, where the Sabres beat down Boston by a score of 4-1-

-Today’s game is going to be a massacre, plan and simple. The Ravens roster dominates the Bills in every facet of the game. Seriously, there are no positions that the Bills are better at. Baltimore is actually my pick to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. They have a top 5 defense, a great running back, the best wide receiver core they have had since moving to Baltimore, and a young up and coming quarterback-

-Oh, and the Ravens are totally pissed off after losing against the Patriots. Not good, and either are the Bills. Baltimore pounds Buffalo 30-6-

-Since some people think the Bills have a legit shot at going 0-16 (I think they beat Cleveland), some pundents have been talking about the chances that Chan Gailey may lose his job because of that. Not going to happen. Look, both the owner and GM have come out and spoken about how it is going to take three years to fix this damn mess. I don’t think firing the coach would help that and it surely isn’t Gailey’s fault that he inherited a roster that is full of garbage. Now, I know some will say that Cam Cameron was fired after his first season in Miami; going 1-15 in 2007. However, Miami hired Bill Parcells at the end of the year to run the team, and you know Bill wasn’t going to inherit anyone. He was going to bring in his own guy no matter what. Sorry, but I don’t think Parcells is walking through those doors at One Bills Drive-

-Now, if Ralph Wilson decided to change his mind and give Marty Schottenheimer a shot, well, I’m all for that-

-Look, I’ve admired the way Ryan Fitzpatrick has played football this year. Actually, admire is too strong of a word, but he’s impressed me. However, everyone knows he’s not the franchise quarterback of this team (Unless he beats the Ravens today). Now, because of his stature of being a back-up quarterback, do you think the Bills should take a look at Brian Brohm because he hasn’t been tested yet? I mean, he’s that big unknown that a lot of Bills fans were hoping
