The Cardinals became the first MLB team to reach 80 wins on Tuesday night and pushed their record to 35 games over .500.
There are still 6 more days left in August.
With a .640 win percentage and 37 games remaining, the Cardinals are on pace to post 24 additional wins in 2015, bringing their season total to 104.
Matt Adams, Randal Grichuk, Matt Holliday, Jon Jay, Adam Wainwright, Jordan Walden and Matt Belisle are all still on the disabled list.
One. Hundred. Four. Wins.
If they’re able to get there, it would be the 5th best record all-time for the Cardinals, placing them only behind the 1942 (106 wins), 1943 (105), 1944 (105) and 2004 (105) teams. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that the 2015 Cardinals could go down as the most successful regular season iteration in franchise history.
Cardinals have scored 11 more runs than #Reds.
Cards have allowed 175 fewer runs than Reds.— LanceMcAlister (@LanceMcAlister) August 26, 2015
After a 2 game hiccup in San Diego over the weekend, the Cardinals have ripped off 3 wins a row and are poised to extinguish the (minimal) chances the D’Backs had of making a playoff run. We can only imagine the wistfulness for the past that Mr. LaRussa and Mr. Duncan feel this week as they gaze upon the work they’ve done versus the work they used to do.
But really, all you need to know about the ’15 season is that Yadier Molina is stealing 3rd. Again.
After a stolen base tonight, Yadier Molina is 10 for 13 lifetime stealing third http://t.co/UmLxMbmq80

On to 90.
It’s good to be a Cardinals fan.
