The home stand for the Celtics continued tonight as they played the New Jersey Nets. With key starters, Deron Williams and Ray Allen missing in tonight’s game it was interesting. Paul Pierce finished with twenty-four points and four assists. Both Kevin Garnett, who had fourteen points, twelve rebounds, and the sixth man Brandon Bass who had fifteen points, thirteen rebounds both finished with a double-double. The rookie, MarShon Brooks couldn’t lead the Nets to a victory as he finished with 17 points. The Celtics had a slow start in the first half, but bounced back to claim victory with a final score of 89-70. The luck of the Irish continues as the Celtics are on a four game winning streak! The next game will be Friday, January 6, 2012 against the Indiana Pacers. Tip-off is at 7:30.
