<![CDATA[There is a press conference going on right now regarding the new argreement between Cincinnati and Xavier for the Crosstown Shootout. And yes, it's back to being called the Crosstown Shootout again.

The game this year will be held on February 18. It will be televised on ESPN2 as part of Rivalry Week. The game at Xavier will be on Fox.
The ADs both said that getting the games back on campus was very important. Both coaches were "supportive" of the decision. We have heard that Mick didn't want the game back at X, but he is not that powerful up the ladder it appears.
A few things I took note of in the press conference:
- The game being back on campus means that season ticket holders for both schools would get the game in their season ticket packages again. This was mentioned multiple times as a reason why they wanted the games back on campus.
- The games will be scheduled by the ADs, not the coaches. Games will be held when students are on campus.
- Students being there was a major point of emphasis. It didn’t seem like anyone was a fan of the atmosphere of the ‘neutral’ site games.
- The Shootout is back. Most of us didn’t call it the Classic, but this is still a relief. The game needs to be the game again. Let’s hope this is a start.
