It was considered revolutionary when Isaiah “J.R.” Rider pulled off his East Bay Funk Dunk in the 1994 Slam Dunk Contest. It wasn’t so for me since I saw someone hit that dunk in a dunk contest while I was in high school, years before Rider did it (yes, I’m that old). But I had never seen that dunk executed in a game – until I saw this video of high schooler Quddus “Deuce” Bello, that is:
