Today at the Prudential Center, the Philadelphia Flyers played a complete game vs. the New Jersey Devils. The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-1.


Most of the Flyers scoring came in the 2nd period. Rookie RW Matt Read got the scoring started as he netted his 15th goal of the season, giving the Flyers a 1-0 lead. Then not too long after, the Flyers got their second goal from LW Scott Hartnell which was his 21st of the season. Finally, a couple of seconds later, the Devils got on the board with a goal from LW Alexei Ponikarovsky. That was his 8th goal of the season. 


In the 3rd period, the Flyers tacked on two more goals from LW Scott Hartnell and RW Wayne Simmonds.


The player of the game has to go to Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov, who had 30 saves in the game. He is finally starting to show why the Flyers signed him to a 9 yr., $51 million dollar contract.


The Philadelphia Flyers (28-14-4, 60 points) will take on the Boston Bruins (30-13-2, 62 points), tomorrow at 3:00 PM at the Wells Fargo Center.
