Tonight, at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 in overtime. With about 10 seconds left in the game, the Flyers tied the game up at 4-4 on a Wayne Simmonds goal, giving him 22 on the season. 


Then in overtime, the Flyers won the game on a Jaromir Jagr goal, his 16th of the season, assisted by Danny Briere. 


For the Jets, goaltender Ondrej Pavelec had 50 saves on 55 shot attempts. The Flyers (33-19-7, 73 points) next game will be on Thursday as they travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers (23-30-6, 52 points) at 9:30 PM.
