Tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, the Philadelphia Flyers fell to the New York Islanders in a shootout 1-0.
The only goal in the game came off the stick of Islanders Center John Tavares in the shootout. Both goaltenders for each team had a strong performance; Islanders goaltender Evgeni Nabokov stopped all 45 shots, while Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov stopped all 18 shots.
The three stars from the game, goes as follows: 1st star Islanders G Evgeni Nabokov, 2nd star Islanders C Frans Nielsen, and 3rd star Flyers G Ilya Bryzgalov.
The Philadelphia Flyers are now (30-16-7, 67 points) and will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, on Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Wells Fargo Center.
