Tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, the Philadelphia Flyers fell to the New York Islanders 4-1.


The Islanders grabbed the lead early in the 2nd period by getting a goal from LW Matt Moulson. That was his 22nd goal of the season. Then, C Josh Bailey got a goal himself, which was his 4th of the season.


Going into the 3rd period, the Islanders were up 2-0. Then, Islanders D Mark Streit tacked on a power play goal. So the Islanders were up 3-0. The only goal for the Flyers came 10:48 into the 3rd period, when rookie RW Matt Read got his 14th goal of the season. Then the Islanders, at the end of the game, got an empty net goal from RW Michael Grabner and that was his 14th goal of the season.


The Flyers are now (27-14-4, 58 points) and will now go on to play the New Jersey Devils (26-18-2, 54 points), Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Prudential Center.
