I assure you, this won’t be long.
-I liked how the Bills were able to establish the run on the first drive. Of course, it didn’t last. However, to see Jackson gain 50-yards on his first 5 carries, I thought would set the stage for what the Bills wanted to do on Sunday. Part of the Bills success during their first meeting with the Pats was that the team averaged 5.6 yards a carry. Rushing the football effectively would, of course, keep Brady off the field. On the first drive, the Bills ran the ball well between the tackles, and I thought Eric Wood manned up against Vince Wilfork (Click “Read more” for the rest)-
-Finally! CJ Spiller did what the Bills coaches preached in April. He was damn waterbug for at least one play. He made an awesome, 41-yard catch, on a play where Gailey lined up Spiller on the outside and he had man-to-man coverage against a smaller cornerback. This is how I want to see Spiller get used. Sure, he’s not going to be your workhorse back that carries the ball 20-25 times a game. However, if Gailey can make him into a Westbrook type of running back, it may finally justify his top 10 draft selection. Besides the fumbles (Will be on the Misses List), Spiller quietly had his best total yards from scrimmage day as pro; gaining 84 yards (54 passing and 30 rushing). I know it’s still early in Spiller’s career, as he’s had a really tough season, but I’m for him taking a bunch of the carries away from Jackson on Sunday against the Jets-
-Take a bow, Buffalo. Who says that only hockey players come from this region? Naaman Roosevelt played well today, averaging over 18-yards a catch and showed that he can actually stretch the field for the Bills with Lee Evans out of the line-up. On the day, Roosevelt had 4-catches for 72-yards. As for the other Buffalo product, Rob Gronkowski, the guy looks like your prototypical tight end and devoured Poz and Whitner on pass coverage. The guy is going to be a stud for the Patriots for the next 10 years-
-Can you believe that the Bills had pass plays of 41, 40, 30 and runs of 27 and 14? OK, so that doesn’t sound like much, but the Bills didn’t really have issues with moving the ball. The problem persisted when it came to holding onto the football-
-Well, at least the Bills only gave up 10 points in the 2nd half-
