Steve Ott has been an easy target for Blues fans and blogs such as this one, but there’s nothing funny about what’s currently keeping Ott out of the lineup. Jeremy Rutherford reports that Ott is currently dealing with Colitis, which refers to inflammation in the colon.
Ott will be evaluated again in two weeks, but you have to feel for him as he recovers. He was practicing with the Blues after missing a huge chunk of the year after needing surgery on both hamstrings. Now, as he neared a return, he’s sidelined with what’s an extremely painful ordeal.
Blues fans may have hoped to see Ott remain out of the regular lineup, but no one was wishing this on the forward.
