Re: Floyd situation — He’s heard nothing yet. Any talk of 5 games (recent report) would have MF walking away rather than sitting out.
This Tweet, as much as anything else, has me worried for the future of Michael Floyd and his playing days at Notre Dame.
After today’s practice, Brian Kelly said that no decision has been made about Floyd’s status at Notre Dame nor has ther been any type of timetable given by the office of Residence Life to do so.
I had originally thought that if Floyd was going to be allowed to come back for the fall semester then he would probably be suspended for 5 games. As we can see, if it is indeed 5 games, Floyd will head elsewhere.
I think a 3 game suspension would still be a harsh punishment, but it may be the best thing we could get. Floyd is going to be suspended for a certain number of games- that much is in fact a certainty. Three games is enough for the University to show that they took this offense seriously for their standards, and it would bring back one of the greatest wide receivers in Notre Dame history.
Touchdown Jesus, hear our prayer.
