The Multi-Platform Olympics Are Here To Stay

NBC is out with another press release and this one is touting the success of its multi-platform approach to the 2008 Olympics. After being very stingy during the Winter Olympics in 2006 and allowing just the gold medal men’s hockey game to be streamed live at NBCOlympics.com, the 2,200 hours of streaming coverage for the Summer Games online, on cell phones and other mobile devices can be deemed nothing but a success.

NBC Universal says the number of visitors to NBCOlympics.com is staggering.
