Today we found out that the NBA season is going to be a no go. In short, the NBPA rejected the NBA’s latest offer and the NBPA will disband.
Now, this means that the NBA players will be able to file anti-trust lawsuits against the NBA and the owners. This lockout is basically about Billionaires (Owners) vs Millionaires (Players), which is ridiculous. These groups are fighting over percentages, but we are all missing something important though, and that is the little people.
By the little people, I mean the people work inside those basketball arenas (concessions, vendors, and etc). They are out of a job but the NBA doesn’t see that. Both parties are about the almighty dollar. If both sides don’t get their act together, then this lockout will continue and more of the little people will be out of a job.
