The Big East released the football divisions for next season today. They are as followed:
East
Central Florida
Cincinnati
Connecticut
Louisville
Rutgers
South Florida
West
Boise State
Houston
Memphis
San Diego State
Southern Methodist
Temple
This arrangement will change in 2014 when Navy and some other team joins the league. There will be a conference championship game. It will be a home game for one of the teams. Probably the one with the better record.
UC will play 3 teams from the west. You would hope they would be Boise, San Diego State and Houston for the sake of playing the best. You don't want to get Temple, SMU and Memphis. That would hurt the schedule strength.
Don't get too comfortable with this. Chances are Cincinnati or Louisville are kicking west. Unless UC and UofL say hell no, we won't go and force Navy to play there.
