I am in Jacksonville right now, and don’t want to spend too much time drawing up a post, but I did want to really quickly announce the picks for next year’s Following the Compass teams.
Just like 2012, it will be an NCAA basketball team and an NFL team. The basketball team is Western Michigan, a team out of the MAC, and the first MAC school and first Michigan team drawn for Following the Compass.The game drawn was the 7th game off of next year’s schedule (Since the 7th game on this season fell in 2012). For reference, that game in 2012 will be a home matchup in Kalamazoo vs. Oakland.
The NFL team, the second NFL team ever drawn, was the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are the second team from New York ever drawn (the first was St. Bonaventure basektball) and in addition to being the second NFL team, they are also the second professional team ever selected. Their 4th game from the 2013 season was selected. Again, the schedule isn’t out yet, so no details are finalized.
Now, tomorrow I get to complete 2012’s Following the Compass activity, going to tomorrow’s Bears-Jaguars game. Look for me on TV!
