This is the best day of the year, every year… until Opening Day that is. Who needs a Groundhog seeing its shadow at the beginning of February, when everyone with half a baseball sized brain knows that the real indicator of how far away we are from Spring is when the MLB pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training?
It’s a glorious day, baseball fans. Soak it up for everything it’s worth! Maybe go outside and throw a snowball or twenty. But don’t throw too many, it’s just day one and you need to build up that pitch count stamina for the season.
Me, well, I’m going to celebrate the arrival of a new season by throwing back a few adult beverages and watching Game 4 of the 2006 ALDS on my MF’ing iPod.
