The “Relish and Chili Awards” for Gamecocks Week Four Loss

Despite the loss to Auburn this past weekend, there were some really good performances by a couple of Gamecocks that we would like to honor with our “Chili and Relish” individual player awards from Leftover Hot Dog.

These awards are much like “game balls” or “helmet stickers” but those two names were taken.  And if the NCAA is reading this, we do not provide any cash or even a hot dog to the award winners so go bother another University.

Drum roll……..And the winner’s are…….

On Offense – “The Relish”

Alshon Jeffery
He is the go-to guy for USC and for the second week in a row,  Alshon Jeffery is the LOHD award winner.  Despite the loss, the sophomore wideout had his best game of the season, catching eight passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns.  He leads the nation in receiving yards with 498 and is 10th in receptions with 27.

On Defense – “The Chili”

Shaq Wilson
After missing the Gamecocks’ first three contests, Wilson started at will linebacker and turned in seven tackles and two recovered fumbles.
