The Celtics have offered former guard Dan Dickau a training camp invitation, according to agent Mark Bartelstein.
Dickau, who turns 31 Sept. 16, played last season in Germany, averaging 17.6 points in just five games for the Brose Baskets.
Bartelstein said his client is ready for a chance at better
fortunes in Boston. Dickau played 19 games for the Celtics in 2005-06
but tore his Achilles’ tendon Dec. 17, 2005, and eventually was
included in the deal that netted Sebastian Telfair from Portland.
Dickau could serve as a third point guard behind Rajon Rondo and
Marquis Daniels and is a favorite of general manager Danny Ainge.
Dan Dickau? Really? There's nobody else out there?
For those who don't remember, Dickau played 19 games for the C's back in 2005-06 averaging 12 mpg and 3 ppg. I think he suffered some type of season-ending foot injury.
One thing I do know, his wife (a former Blazers dancer) is hot. Pics after the jump.
